Montbretia

Tall, gracefully arched stems are adorned with a series orange trumpet-like blooms. Gives an exciting, fiery twist to an everyday arrangement.

The common name “Montbretia” is an homage to Antoine François Ernest Conquebert de Montbret, one of the botanists accompanying Napoleon’s invasion of Egypt from 1798 to 1801.

AVAILABILITY: July through August; Montbretia pods available September through October.

LASTING: Buds will open progressively over a period of several days  — remove blooms past their prime.
