Cotinus / Smoke Bush

Cotinus gets its common name “Smoke Tree” from its loose branching clusters of flowers that appear like puffs of smoke around the plant.  The most popular is the "Royal Purple" cultivar--Intense color is its outstanding feature, forming a dramatic, dark backdrop for brightly colored flowers and foliage.  Excellent for exotic effects in floral arrangements as well as vintage, fall-inspired bouquets.
