Matsumoto Aster

Matsumoto Asters, also referred to as Japanese Asters (Callistephus), have lengthy, sturdy stems paired with layers of long-lasting, soft flowers.  The flowers' snugly packed, thickly fringed petals come in a variety of jewel-tones which surround its rich, yellow center.

ORIGINS: Asters are native to the eastern regions of Asia, and the name Aster hails from the Latin word for “star,” while its scientific name, Callistephus, comes from the Greek word for “beautiful crown.”
