Cockscomb Celosia

Cockscomb Celosia showcases giant 4 to 6-inch brightly colored, furry flower heads topped with intricate curls, ruffles, twists and tipped with vivid color.  In the floral industry, Celosia is sometimes referred to as “brains,” for its twisty likeness to our cerebral matter.

HISTORY: The name Celosia is derived from the Ancient Greek “Kelos”, or “to burn” referring to the fiery color of the flowers. In Nigeria, Celosia is grown as part of the staple diet known as Soko.
